Sinterklaas 2007
On his way back to Spain, Sinterklaas visited Puerto Rico this year again. Sinterklaas was really enthusiastic to see the faces of some new children. All the children had been very nice the passed year, because for all children Sinterklaas brought a present and, reading in his book, he knew why that was.
Sinterklaas also brought his best `Zwarte Pieten`. Thanks to them the party was complete and all children and even the parents sang the Sinterklaas songs. A girl supported the singing while playing her flute. Before Sinterklaas and the Zwarte Pieten had to leave, the Pieten treated every one with an extra dance (and quite some acrobatic) performance. Of course they left many `taaitaai` and `pepernoten` behind.
Thank you Sinterklaas and hope to see you again next year!
Boat trip July 2007
On the first of July it was the first time the Dutch Club set sail to Icacos, a small island to the east of Fajardo. Here we enjoyed swimming, sunbathing and snorkling. After so much physical activity hunger set in and we attacked the lunch buffet and of course piña colada could not be forgotten. After that we enjoyed more sun, sea and beach before we arrived again in the harbour of Fajardo at 4 o’clock.
For everyone who wants to relish the memory of such a great day, we placed the pictures, taken by several members, as well.
